Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of MeltDocs. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

MeltDocs provides a document-conversion API and related tools. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may set reasonable technical limits to keep the service reliable for everyone.

2. Your account and token

You sign in with an email magic link — there is no password. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your API token secret. If you believe your token has been exposed, regenerate it from your dashboard right away. Use an email address you control and provide accurate information.

3. Plans, billing, and quotas

MeltDocs offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in US dollars, through our payment processor (Stripe). Each plan includes a monthly conversion quota that resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC); unused quota does not carry over. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing portal, and changes take effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MeltDocs to process unlawful content, to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, to attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or to resell it as a competing conversion API. We may apply rate limits and other safeguards to protect the service.

5. Your files and content

You keep all rights to the files you convert. We process your files only to perform the conversion you request and do not use them for any other purpose. Do not upload content you do not have the right to process.

6. Availability and warranties

We work to keep MeltDocs available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeltDocs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using MeltDocs at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that put the service or other users at risk. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above; where practical, we will announce significant changes in advance. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
